Description
The beloved Halloween Parade and Candy Drop returns on Oct. 29, the Tuesday before trick-or-treat night (rain date Oct. 30).
If you’re new to Riverside, the Halloween Parade and Candy Drop is the night when kids dress in their costumes, gather with their families at the Riverside Firehouse for refreshments and fun, and march for a couple of blocks around the neighborhood behind a city fire truck.
It all culminates when a firefighter climbs into the bucket truck to release bins full of candy to all the kids waiting below.
It's a night for making memories.
You can help by dropping off candy donations in advance at 2941 Green Street, HBG. Please call or text Kimmy Pianka at 724-331-0486 and set up a time to drop off. Volunteers are also needed to set up and tear down the food tables, walk the parade route, and hand out food. We are also looking for individuals and businesses to sponsor the event.
