Description
The City of Harrisburg will host the 108th annual Kipona Festival along Riverfront Park and City Island from Saturday, August 31 – Monday, September 2. The event will feature a Multicultural Celebration, Native American Pow-Wow, Family Fun Zone, Art in the Park, live music stage, Giant Puppet Parade, Keystone Dock Dogs competition, bubble festival, food trucks, a beer/wine garden, and more!
The event runs 11am-7pm on Saturday and Sunday and 11am-6pm on Monday. FREE admission with no ticket required all 3 days. PARKING – Metered street parking is free on Sunday and Monday. On Saturday, get 4 hours of free Downtown street parking using the code LUVHBG in the Parkmobile app prior to 5pm. Downtown street parking is free after 5pm on Saturday. $5 parking on City Island and $10 parking from 9am-9pm at the Market Square Garage courtesy of Park Harrisburg. BIKES/PUBLIC TRANSIT - free bike parking will be provided at Walnut & Forster Streets along Riverfront Park courtesy of Recycle Bicycle. The train station is just 3 blocks away.
