Santa Claus is coming to Hummelstown Holiday Happenings again this year! On Sunday, December 8, 2019, the Hummelstown Business & Professional Association is sponsoring this annual holiday event. Over 20 local businesses will sponsor open houses and activities for young and old alike, including making ornaments and crafts, decorating cookies, enjoying refreshments, listening to holiday readings and shopping specials. This is an excellent opportunity to get some Holiday shopping done while supporting local businesses throughout Hummelstown.
At 1 pm Santa Claus will arrive at the Square, but instead of his Reindeer he will be driven by the Hummelstown Fire Company’s Fire Engine. After all, Santa’s Reindeer need to rest before they make their big trip. Santa will be available to listen to all the holiday wish lists until 5 pm, so make sure you stop by to tell Santa what your Holiday wish is.
While you are exploring all of the festivities make sure to take time and ride the Hershey Trolley. The Hershey Trolley Works will be providing free transportation to various stops throughout Hummelstown from 2 pm to 4 pm thanks to our Trolley Sponsors.
Finally, what better way to conclude a fun-filled day but with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting in the Square at 5:30 PM. The tree lighting is sponsored by the Hummelstown Community Foundation, and will be lit by Santa and Miss Hummelstown 2020, Abigail Lennox, with the Hummelstown Community Singers leading the caroling.
