๐ A Love Letter to Paulus Farm Market FarmPark ๐
Paulus Farm Market FarmPark in Mechanicsburg isn’t just a destination for our family—it’s a second home, the kind where you leave with happy hearts, full bellies, and just the right amount of farm dirt to feel like you’re winning at parenting.
We’ve done everything Paulus has to offer. From Easter egg hunts to Mud Days (yes, it’s as gloriously messy as it sounds), from summer camps to simple playdates surrounded by chickens and goats. Every single time, we leave feeling like the farm has worked its magic again.
Let’s talk about the owner, Amy. She’s not just the friendly face behind this wonderful operation—she’s practically family. She’s known most of my kids since birth and always greets us with the kind of warmth that makes you feel like you belong. Her team is equally incredible, especially in how they’ve accommodated my special-needs son. They meet him where he’s at, every time, ensuring that he gets to fully experience and enjoy the farm alongside his siblings.
And let’s talk about the magic of the farm itself. Somehow, it manages to meet the wildly different needs of everyone in my crew:
- The baby: Absorbing every sight, sound, and smell, like a sponge in overalls. She’s learning so much about her environment it feels like a science lesson and a storybook come to life.
- The megalomaniac 5-year-old: He gets to burn energy, rule the sandbox kingdom, and engage in the kind of hard, joyful play that keeps him out like a light at bedtime.
- The tween scientist: He’s fascinated by the science of agriculture and the sheer engineering brilliance that keeps a farm running smoothly. He’s like a mini farmer-in-training, asking questions I don’t even understand.
- The animal lovers: Don’t even get me started. Between the goats, chickens, pigs, and every other furry or feathery resident, this is basically their dreamland.
The best part? It all happens in a space where everyone can breathe. Whether we’re chasing kids through the play areas, marveling at how many eggs a chicken lays in a week, or just soaking in the peacefulness of farm life, Paulus FarmPark is a place where we connect, grow, and just be.
It’s truly one of our favorite destinations in the area—and trust me, we’ve been everywhere. If you haven’t visited yet, what are you waiting for? Bring your kids, your sense of adventure, and maybe a spare change of clothes for all that glorious farm dirt. ๐ ๐๐ป
