Free Family Fun With Our Local First Responders
2026 National Night Out Events Around Harrisburg & the West Shore
Meet the people who help keep our neighborhoods safe, explore emergency vehicles and enjoy games, food and community fun.
National Night Out is one of those wonderfully simple ideas that becomes something bigger: bring neighbors and first responders together, add plenty of kid-friendly fun, and give families a relaxed way to get to know the people and resources in their own community.
Most communities celebrate on the first Tuesday in August, which falls on August 4 in 2026. One local celebration, Hampden Township’s Creekview Family Fun Night, takes place on Friday, August 7.
Every event below was checked against a 2026 municipal, police department or other direct organizer source. Plans can still change, especially for outdoor events, so use the source link included with each listing for the latest updates before leaving home.

Good to know: These events are generally free unless a listing says otherwise. Food trucks, concessions or certain attractions may charge separately, so bringing a little spending money is still a good idea.
