Parents, It’s Time to Call the Babysitter: Your Ultimate Date Night Awaits!

Parents of Central PA, let’s talk. When was the last time you swapped out diaper bags and snack cups for shoulder pads and acid wash jeans? If your answer involves a blank stare and distant memories of life before "Baby Shark," it’s time to change that. On Friday, February 28, 2025, the stars have aligned for you to escape to Whodunit? An 80’s Themed Mystery Dinner, where the only thing you’ll have to solve is who had the audacity to commit murder at your class reunion!

Why You Deserve This Night Out

Let’s be real: parenting is a whodunit all its own. Who spilled the milk? Who flushed your car keys? Who drew on the dog with a Sharpie? While we love our kids, sometimes you need a night without interrogating tiny suspects. This is your chance to don your boldest 80’s attire, sip on a complimentary drink, and sleuth your way through an evening of adulting with flair.

What’s in Store?

  • The Year is 1984: Transport yourself back to an era when hairspray was a personality trait, shoulder pads meant business, and class reunions didn’t require a Facebook RSVP.
  • Heavy Hors d’Oeuvres, Heavy Fun: A potato bar and other delectable treats await, ensuring you’re fueled for solving the evening’s drama. (Because let’s face it, potatoes are life.)
  • Two Complimentary Drinks: Additional drinks available for a donation! Have fun, but as always, sip responsibly.
  • A Murder Mystery to Die For: Channel your inner Sherlock Holmes as you interrogate classmates, analyze clues, and solve the case of the fallen classmate. Who did it? Maybe… it’s YOU!

Why It’s Worth It

Every ticket purchased for this event supports Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center (HCPAC Youth), so you’re not just solving crimes—you’re investing in the arts and the lives of students in Central PA. That’s the kind of “motive” we can all get behind. Read more about the HCPAC Youth Mission.

How to Make It Happen

  1. Lock in the Babysitter: Your mom, your neighbor’s teenager, or that sitter your kids are obsessed with—it’s time to book them. (Bonus points if they come dressed as an 80’s babysitter for thematic continuity.)
  2. Grab Your Tickets: At just $75, this night of food, fun, and mystery is a steal. Get your tickets here before they’re gone!
  3. Raid Your Closet or Hit the Thrift Store: The bigger the hair, the closer to solving the crime. Go full neon, pearls, and dramatic earrings for ultimate immersion.
  4. Show Up at 5:30 PM for Doors Open: Because being early isn’t just for PTA meetings.

Final Plea

You could spend your Friday night scrolling TikTok while pawning off bedtime duty, or you could channel your inner detective while indulging in great food, great drinks, and even greater fun. The kids will survive one night without you—who knows, they might even appreciate you more the next day (we can dream, right?).

So, ditch the puzzles for preschoolers and trade them for an 80’s murder mystery that’ll have you talking about who-done-it all the way home. February 28, 2025. Be there. Be fabulous. And most importantly, be ready to sleuth like your babysitter’s hourly rate depends on it.
