Explore, Engage, Experience & Enjoy the Cumberland County Women’s Expo

October 14, 2024

The Women’s Expo — the premier women’s event in central Pennsylvania — is returning to Cumberland County this fall.

A blend of information, entertainment, shopping, socializing, learning and fun, the 13th annual Cumberland County Women’s Expo will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Carlisle Expo Center, 100 K St., Carlisle.

Hosted by local event-production company OLP Events, the Women’s Expo invites women of all ages and interests for a lively experience of shopping, inspiration and relaxation and to learn about products and services.

Exhibitors from all facets of a woman’s life will be on-hand, making personal connections with the demographic that makes more than 83% of all purchasing decisions — women.

Ranging from larger businesses to small franchises and “solopreneurs,” vendors will provide women plenty of opportunities to shop and gather information about health and wellness, travel, home improvements, fashion, beauty and more.

Visitors will also be eligible for a variety of door prizes, and main-stage entertainment and seminars will include:

9:45 a.m. – Scams Abound: Don’t Take the Bait. Imposter scams are constantly bombarding us — from government entities to reputable businesses whose name and reputation are being used to part you from your identity and from your pocketbook. Join Mary Bach, chair, and Kate Kleinert, member, PA AARP Consumer Issues Task Force, as they share how a romance scam survivor turned her victimization into an educational crusade.

10:15 a.m. – Healthy Eating Doesn’t Have to Break the Bank. Good food does not have to take long to cook, and it doesn’t have to break the bank. Join Tammy Kerr with Epicure to see how you can put delicious and nutritious food on your meal table in 20 minutes or less. Learn mealtime hacks that will save you time and money while making “good food, real fast.”

11:15 a.m. – PA State Senior Idol Showcase. This unique musical showcase will reunite some audience favorites from the PA State Senior Idol competition, only at this year’s Cumberland County Women’s Expo! This showcase will include special performances by Charles Lee, winner, 2006; Tom and Randi LaNasa, semifinalists; Chris Poje, winner, 2010; and Peggy Keller, winner, 2011.

AAA will have its Mobile Branch cargo van set up for help with many AAA services, such as notary service, passport photos, theme park tickets and others, and guests are welcome to sign up for free chair massages, provided by Homeland Center & Homeland at Home.

Sponsors for the 2024 Cumberland County Women’s Expo include 50plus Life, BusinessWoman, Homeland Center/Homeland at Home, HOT 106.7, Macaroni Kid, The Savings Guide, UPMC, WellSpan Health, WINK 104, WHTM abc27 and WHYF AM720.
