🎃 Halloween in Harrisburg and West Shore is about to get a whole lot more spooktacular, folks! Prepare yourself for a wave of stealthy kindness that will sweep through the community faster than a ghost on a caffeine high—introducing the phenomenon of Boo Buckets, the latest way to spread Halloween joy from one doorstep to another. Harrisburg, we’re looking at you to lead the charge in making this the most unforgettable Halloween yet!
What is a Boo Bucket?
Think of it as Halloween, but with a surprise twist. Instead of getting scared by skeletons or how much candy your kids can eat in one sitting, you'll be getting a delightful treat from a sneaky neighbor with ninja-like reflexes! It’s basically a surprise Halloween care package, dropped on your doorstep like a ghoulish Amazon Prime delivery—except this one is packed with joy instead of a poorly timed impulse buy.
No rules, no stress—whether you toss in a few pieces of candy, some fun trinkets, or that leftover plastic spider from last year’s decorations (it’s time to let it go, Karen), it’s all about spreading smiles. Size doesn’t matter here, Harrisburg friends—just the thought that counts. And maybe a few Reese's Cups.
How does it work?
If you’re lucky enough to be on the receiving end of a Boo Bucket:
- Receive your mystery treat and laugh maniacally as you try to figure out which neighbor went full Halloween Ninja to drop it off. Was it the Wilsons? The suspiciously fast jogger from down the street? Or maybe that literal witch who lives on the corner? It’s all part of the fun!
- Slap that "We've Been Boo’d" sign on your door or window like a badge of honor. You’re officially part of the cool crowd now, and you want everyone in West Shore and Harrisburg to know it.
- Pay it forward! Print two copies of the "You've Been Boo’d" page and make two Boo Buckets (your choice—you can be a big or small bucket person, no judgment here). Stuff them with spooky fun and treats, and then, here comes the best part: sneakily deliver them to two unsuspecting neighbors who haven’t been Boo’d yet! Go full covert ops mode—avoid cameras, motion sensors, and small children who might ruin your cover. (Printable coming October 1!)
