Dauphin County Parks and Rec has announced a spring calendar full of events in the Park RX series. There are walks, classes, a volunteer work day & more!

Little Friends Tea Party

We put the “party” in Tea Party! Join us on March 19th for a children’s tea party.

Cat In The Hat Learning Series
March 22, 10am - 10:45a
Stories, rhymes, and a craft/activity will introduce science through the eyes of the Cat In The Hat.

Cub Scout: Tigers in the Wild
March 26, 1p - 3:30p
Venture out into the wild to discover the plants and animals that inhabit Wildwood.

Archibald McAllister's Birthday Celebration
April 1, 1p - 3p
In honor of Archibald's birthday and his love for reptiles, we have invited Forgotten Friend Reptile Sanctuary to bring some of their scaly friends for a visit.

Art in the Wild Opens

Using mostly natural materials, artists have constructed large and small installations.

Spring Break Boredom Buster: Native American Family Program

Dauphin County Parks & Rec will be offering a Native American Family Program in the morning and a Dairy Farming Family Program in the afternoon.

Kids Discover: Birds and Their Nests
April 7, 10a - 11:30a
Join a Naturalist for this hands-on program where kids will get to examine nests, search for nests in the Park and make their own small bird’s nest to take home.
