Great programs available for all ages

September 16, 2021

Join us on the road to a healthier YOU this year by spending some quality time in nature with the Dauphin County Parks & Rec Park Rx series of programs.

The goal of these Park Rx programs is to benefit all ages in the community from children through seniors, create diverse activities to appeal to a wide range of health and wellness interests, strive to improve cognitive, emotional, social, and educational development, and create positive experiences in nature which can lead to a lifelong commitment for caring and conserving our natural resources.

NEW! Join us for a Wellness Wednesday Walk on the Greenbelt from Fort Hunter Park (meet at Heckton Church) to Wildwood Park and back. These will be every Wednesday morning beginning on October 13th - November 10th (may be extended based on participation) from 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. (approx.), weather permitting.  Everyone has a different level of fitness and ability, so feel comfortable participating for as long, or as little as you like during each walk.

With the support of Highmark Blue Shield, our sponsor, we’re excited to bring some amazing instructors and offerings to our parks and surrounding area. So, join the fun and register for some programs today!
