Great Reasons to Send Your Child to a Martial Arts Summer Camp

FEAR KNOT Martial Arts for Kidz has opened summer camp registration

March 12, 2021

If you’re thinking about sending your child to camp this summer, you’re not alone. Parents are already exploring their options for their child’s summer adventures and their options are likely limited compared to previous years. And after the year we’ve all experienced, it’s important for them psychologically and emotionally to get out and socialize with other children. FEAR KNOT Martial Arts and Sports Summer Camps provide plenty of that valuable social interaction for your child.

Fear Knot is gearing up for another fun, adventurous, and safe summer for all its campers. From the time they arrive to the time they go home; campers are kept busy. Every day includes active indoor sports like capture the flag, several varieties of dodge ball, field hockey, crab soccer and nerf soccer, and any number of relay races.

In addition to the physically active games, campers also head to the training floor for age-appropriate martial arts lessons. Fear Knot’s Little Ninjas and Karate Kidz programs teach children valuable life skills like discipline, teamwork, and concentration in a kid-friendly environment. Campers 10 to 12 years old learn a more traditional but still age-appropriate martial arts curriculum.

Don’t worry, if your child’s never tried martial arts, our programs are set up for anyone, experienced or not, to jump right in. Also included in each day's itinerary is a field trip. Campers head out to a local park for lunch and some outside play or to a destination like bowling, mini-golf, pizza, or ice cream. Each week offers up a different set of exciting adventures.

One of the best things is that your child will be surrounded by a group of old and new friends of similar ages and backgrounds while trying something new and unique together. Our staff are an outstanding mix of young and "seasoned" adults that love working with kids and know how to make a great time for the campers. The combination of positive emotions, new friendships, and just plain having fun makes kids feel happier at and after camp. When society is seeing more kids suffer from depression and anxiety, Fear Knot is a place where kids can go that serves as a positive environment for your child.
