Dauphin County offers overnight shelters and assistance for the winter

Accommodations are available for men, women and those with children

February 2, 2021

As a winter storm continues to bring snow, wind and freezing temperatures, we want to remind everyone of overnight shelters and assistance available to individuals and families. Information is in the graphic about men’s shelters at Downtown Daily Bread, Gospel Fellowship Church and a women’s shelter at Grace United Methodist Church. Dauphin County supported Christian Churches United in facilitating the women’s shelter at Grace United Methodist and the men’s shelter at Gospel Fellowship with a state grant of COVID relief funds.

There are capacity limits, required mask wearing, and other COVID-related restrictions.

Families with children needing shelter should call HELP Ministries at 717-238-2851, or after 4:30 p.m., Crisis Intervention at 717-232-7511 or 1-888-596-4447.
