Harrisburg to Celebrate with Ice in the Burg Festival, March 5 - 7

Enjoy dozens of ice sculptures across Harrisburg City

The City of Harrisburg’s annual M&T Bank Ice & Fire Festival will be modified to “Ice in the Burg” on March 5-7, 2021 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The modified event will feature nearly 50 large and small ice sculptures and will be featured in new locations throughout the City including City Island, Downtown, Midtown, Italian Lake, and Reservoir Park. Activities such as the ice slide, ice skating rink, live artist market, stage performances and firepit lounge will be paused for the 2021 event. Local business will offer activities and dining specials following Covid-19 guidelines. 

Friday, March 5: 7-9pm

  • Drive-thru on City Island featuring illuminated ice sculptures, characters and more

Saturday, March 6: 10am-9pm

  • 40+ ice sculptures throughout Downtown, City Island, Midtown, Italian Lake and Reservoir Park (sculptures illuminated from 7-9pm)
  • Eat in the Streets featuring a unique outdoor table service dining experience on Saturday, March 6 from 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Second Street. Participating restaurants include Arooga’s, Cafe Freco, Federal Taphouse, JP Lovedrafts MicroPub and Stock’s on 2nd

Sunday, March 7: 10am-7pm 

  • 40+ ice sculptures throughout Downtown, City Island, Midtown, Italian Lake and Reservoir Park
