Harrisburg, PA Goes Virtual for New Year Celebration

Join the fun virtually this year!

December 10, 2020

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the traditional City of Harrisburg New Year’s Eve Celebration will be modified to a virtual celebration. Please see below for details on the virtual activities and explorehbg.com/NYE for a list of City NYE dining and takeout specials and more.

VIRTUAL COUNTDOWN TO KID-NIGHT
Families can sign-up to reserve a free balloon drop kit to enjoy a “Countdown to Kid-Night” celebration at home. A virtual countdown featuring Rascal of the Harrisburg Senators will be available for families to ring in the New Year. Balloon-drop kits are limited and must be reserved in advance for a socially distanced, limited contact pick-up. The deadline to reserve a balloon drop kit is Monday, December 14 or while supplies last.

NYE DINING SPECIALS AND EVENTS IN THE CITY
Kick off the New Year by supporting local City businesses! Several businesses will be offering dining and takeout specials and other activities. Visit ExploreHBG.com/NYE for information on everything available (the site will be updated as details are received so check back frequently).

BE PART OF THE VIRTUAL COUNTDOWN
A virtual countdown to midnight will feature iconic Harrisburg locations and organizations followed by a fireworks compilation from previous years. Members of the community and City businesses are invited to submit a photo and short message (30 words or less) to be included in the countdown video. All photo and message submissions must be sent by Wednesday, December 16 to be considered.
