Pay What You Wish Summer Fridays & Summer Learn at Lunchtime Schedule

Enjoy a summer of fun at the State Museum of Pennsylvania, Harrisburg

Summer Fridays at The State Museum are “Pay as you wish!” For general admission on Learn at Lunchtime Fridays, June 21 through August 23, the amount you pay for general admission is up to you.

Art docents will be available to give tours in Art of the State 11AM – 1PM.

Summer Fridays feature Learn at Lunchtime at 12:15 PM featuring a variety of exciting lectures and presentations:

  • June 21: Wild Bird Adaptations Wildlife Education Specialist Dan Lynch from the Pennsylvania Game Commission will discuss how birds, like Robins and Turkeys, fly, eat and digest their food.
  • June 28: 2019 Art of the State
  • July 12: 2019 Art of the State
  • July 19: Apollo 11: Man’s First Step onto the Moon at 12 Noon & 12:30 PM Tickets are limited and must be picked up at the front desk at least 10 minutes before showtime.
  • July 26: White-Tailed Deer Chronic Wasting Disease Courtney Colley, CWD Communication Specialist, Pennsylvania Game Commission, Bureau of Information and Education
  • August 2: Discovering the Past at Fort Hunter with Janet Johnson, Curator of Archaeology and Dr. Kurt Carr, Senior Curator of Archaeology, The State Museum
  • August 9: The Return of the Peregrine Falcon with Bert Myers, Environmental Education Specialist Program Supervisor, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection
  • August 16: The Secret World of the Allegheny Woodrats with Aura Stauffer, Wildlife Biologist, PA Department of Conservation & Natural Resources
  • August 23: 2019 Art of the State

Curiosity Connection will have limited timed-tickets available for 45 minutes of play per hour from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Tickets are limited and first come first serve.
