Local libraries in both Dauphin County and Cumberland County library systems are hosting book sales this spring. Proceeds from these book sales allow the libraries to purchase new books, make upgrades, purchase technology and add additional programming to the calendar. A few of the sales offer a fill a bag sale, which is a fantastic way to add books to your classroom library or pick up books for yourself or kids at fantastic prices!
New Cumberland Public Library Book Sales April 6, April 20, May 4, May 18
Hours for the sales are 9:00 am until 3:00 pm
Sales will include:
- hardback and paperback books,
- vintage jewelry
- DVD’s
- music CD’s
- puzzles
- children’s books
- 33 rpm records
- tote bags
- note cards
East Pennsboro Library Every Tuesday, Thursday and 3rd Friday
Hours for the sale are 9:00 am until 3:00 pm
Look for Ed and the Hooked on Books used book sale on the ground floor of the East Pennsboro Township Municipal Building. From 9am until 3pm every Tuesday, Thursday and third Friday, hundreds of gently used books at great prices fill the room! All proceeds benefit East Pennsboro Branch Library.
Fredricksen Library April 26 - 28
Hours for the sale are Friday 9a to 8:30p, Saturday 1p to 5p, and Sunday 1p to 4p
The public sale includes dvds, other media, cds, puzzles and games, parent and teacher materials, children’s, teens, and adult books as well as a special table featuring coffee table books and interesting collectible editions. Prices range from 50 cents to $2 or $3 for hardback copies. Sunday is the BAG SALE – 2 bags for $10.00! ($10.00 minimum)

Kline Library May 2 - 4 and October 17 - 19
Hours for the sale are Thursdays: 10a - 7p, Fridays: 10a - 6p, Saturdays: 10a - 2p
New and gently used books, videos, CDs and other items will be on sale at the Friends of Kline Library's Spring Book Sale.
