Here in the Harrisburg & West Shore, we are lucky to live in an area in close proximity to so many great farms, farm stands, butchers, and craftspeople. Shopping local is important year round, but is especially important for these small farmers, growers, and producers who rely heavily on the local community for support. Shopping at these small businesses is a great way to ask questions and find out more info on where/how your purchases were made/grown and to even get some cooking recommendations from the folks who grew the items.
