Celebrate the natural wonder of the wetland at the 18th Annual Wetlands Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 28 at Wildwood Park in Harrisburg.
There will be walks focusing on turtles, frogs, birds, and wildflowers. Family-friendly music, activities, exhibits, and food vendors round out the day.
- 9:00 a.m. – Pre-Festival Bird Walk with Ed Chubb and Ian Gardner
- 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Live Music with Randy Heisley-Cato
- 10:00 a.m. – Meet the Frogs with Nate McKelvie
- 11:00 a.m. – Meet the Turtles with Nate McKelvie
- 11:00 a.m. – Bird Walk with Rick Price, Peggy Price and Eli DePaulis
- 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. – Paws, Claws, Scales and Tails with ZooAmerica
- 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Pond Tours with Dr. Walter Meshaka and Gene Wingert
- 1:00 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. – Live Music with Mark DeRose
- 2:00 p.m. – Flower Walk with Cara Martinez-Williams
- 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. – Wetland Habitats with ZooAmerica

Most activities are free of charge but bring some money for the concession stands. The entire park is stroller friendly.

Wildwood Park is located on Industrial Road, a half mile north of the Harrisburg Area Community College campus, in Harrisburg. The Benjamin Olewine III Nature Center is located in Wildwood Park and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
