Where can you find 70+ rides, games and other amusements, live nightly musical entertainment, and a variety of great food all in one place?
The Marysville Lions Club will hold its 72nd annual Carnival next week, Monday to Saturday, July 31 to August 5, at 6 p.m. nightly. It’s fun for the whole family, local and affordable.
Live musical entertainment will be provided by the following local bands:
• Monday, July 31, Johnny Cash Tribute Band (from early days of career)
• Tuesday, Aug. 1 – Shea Quinn ( classic rock – lead singer of the Luv Gods)
• Wednesday, Aug. 2 – Mountain Rides (Blue Grass)
• Thursday, Aug. 3 – Sgt. Bob (classic rock and ageless country)
• Friday, Aug. 4 – Voxology (Blue Grass/Folk) & FIREWORKS
• Saturday, Aug. 5 – The Back Rhodes (R&B)
In addition, a fireworks display will be presented Friday evening at 11:15.
At the carnival, raffle tickets will be on sale to win a 1st prize drawing of $4,000 cash or $7,500 toward a new car at Forrer Dodge in Duncannon, 2nd prize $2,000 cash, 3rd prize $1,000 cash.
Admission is free. There is a $3 parking fee. Attendees can purchase a daily wristband for $17 that is good for all rides, or purchase tickets for individual rides. There is a $2 off coupon, valid Monday thru Thursday that may be presented at the ticket booth for $2 off the cost of the daily wristband.
Proceeds from the carnival support local Lions Club charitable projects, as well as Lions Club International works.
The carnival will be held on the Lions Club grounds along Routes 11 & 15 in Marysville.
