Dauphin County to host FREE Wetlands Festival at Wildwood Park

Celebrate the natural wonder of the wetland at the 17th Annual Wetlands Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 at Wildwood Park in Harrisburg.  There will be walks focusing on turtles, frogs, birds, and wildflowers. Family-friendly music, activities, exhibits, and food vendors round out the day.

9:00 a.m. – Pre-Festival Bird Walk with Ed Chubb, Kim Van Fleet and Dominic Mirarchi
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Live Music with Roger Hammer Music
10:00 a.m. – Meet the Frogs with Nate McKelvie
10:30 a.m. – Tree Walk with Jon Schach
11:00 a.m. – Meet the Turtles with Nate McKelvie
11:00 a.m. – Bird Walk with Rick Price, Peg Price and Eli DePaulis
11:00 a.m. – Bat Puppet Theater with Jeremiah and Rick Joel
11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. – Wildflowers of Wildwood Park Book Signing with Cara Martinez-
                       Williams and Harry Watts
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. – Critters Beyond Your Back Door with Jack Hubley

Wildwood Park is located on Industrial Road, a half mile north of the Harrisburg Area Community College campus, in Harrisburg. The Benjamin Olewine III Nature Center is located in Wildwood Park and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
